Wensleydale Rotary's inaugural September Saunter supports the Rob Burrow Centre for the Motor Neurone Disease

Eighty-seven entrants took part in the inaugural September Saunter which was held on 24 September 2022. Starting from the centre of Leyburn the walk covered 13.6 miles over the paths and tracks passing through Wensley, onto Middleham, then to Cover Bridge before returning to the Wensleydale School in Leyburn where walkers were greeted with soup, rolls and superb cake!

President of Wensleydale Rotary Club Ray Wilkinson commented “We were very pleased to see so many people taking part in the event. We got very good comments back from the participants and hope to run the event again next year.”  Proceeds from the event are going to the Rob Burrow Centre for the Motor Neurone Disease.
