District Conference takes place over the weekend of 7th and 8th October 2022 in Scarborough.
The suggested format for clubs is:
Friday 7th Register in the afternoon, attend the House of Friendship/Rotary Showcase then enjoy fellowship as a club that evening – there are no formal conference sessions or meals arranged for today
Saturday 8th Attend morning and afternoon plenary sessions. Plenty to enjoy. A celebration of a Centenary of Rotary Service across the District. Speakers include Amanda Owen (Yorkshire Shepherdess) and Gyles Brandreth. This is a day celebrating Rotary Achievements in the 100 year history of the District and looking forward to the future. There's a Centenary Celebration Dinner at the Sap Centre in the evening (black tie preferred).
Sunday 9th depart – there are no conference sessions today
The HQ hotel is the Crown Spa. Members may obtain a room discount by mentioning they are attending the Rotary 1040 conference. There are of course many other hotels and Coach Transfers operate as in the past (full route not yet prepared).
Registration for the event opens soon. Clubs will be advised just before it becomes available via the District Secretary
